Release 1.1 Service Pack 3
TReK
Release 1.1 Service Pack 3 is a service pack for TReK Release 1.1. Here's some
information about this service pack.
When will it be available?
July 3, 2001
Should I get this service pack?
This service pack is recommended. It contains one enhancement and one critical
fix. If you are using any of the TReK API GetNext…Value or GetOneNext…Value
function calls we strongly recommend you install this service pack.
How do I install the service pack?
You simply download the service pack (single file) and double click on it. This
will start an installation process that will update several files in the TReK
bin directory. That's all you need to do. You don't have to uninstall the TReK
software to install this service pack. You can install it over TReK Release
1.1 or any of the TReK Release 1.1 service packs (Service Pack 1 or Service
Pack 2). Please note that if you install this service pack you will automatically
get the updates that were included in TReK Release 1.1 Service Pack 1 and TReK
Release 1.1 Service Pack 2.
What's In It?
Fixes
- In some cases, the TReK API functions for getting the next
value of a parameter could return the incorrect parameter and a return code
of API_MORE_DATA_AVAILABLE. This would cause the application using a GetNext…Value
or GetOneNext…Value function to retrieve the same data multiple times.
This is most likely to occur when these functions are used for GSE packets
and the packets do not contain a valid parameter value. It is highly recommended
that you install this service pack if you are using any of the GetNext…Value
or GetOneNext…Value functions.
- When recording PDSS Payload or Suitcase Simulator packets,
it was possible for the short cut TReK creates to play back data based on
space craft time to be incorrect. This will occur when the first packet stored
in the file is not the oldest packet in the file or the last packet in the
file is not the newest packet in the file. Both cases would occur when data
arrives out of order. This scenario is very unlikely and there are no known
instances of it happening. This patch fixes the potential problem.
New or Enhanced Capabilities
- The Telemetry Processing Packet Snapshot View was modified
to increase the font size and the cell size. The color scheme was reversed
so the color of the cells would stand out and could be seen from a long
distance.
Other Notes
- The Telemetry Processing User Guide has been updated for this
release.
