TReK Release 1.1 Service Pack 7
TReK Release 1.1 Service Pack 7 is a service pack for
TReK Release 1.1. This service pack was never released through the TReK Web
Site. However, all the fixes and enhancements in this service pack are included
in TReK Release 1.1 Service Pack 8. Here is some information about the contents
of Service Pack 7.
What's In It?
Fixes
- There is no longer a small memory leak in the Get…TimeStringValue
functions in the User API.
- For User API functions that returned API_NO_NEW_DATA, the status
string is now updated to reflect that the data is considered stale.
- The following messages were added in the Telemetry Processing
application. Since the Telemetry Processing User Guide was not redelivered
with this service pack, the new messages are listed below:
- Message 2192: An error occurred while creating the excel
spreadsheet file used to record packet statistics. Packet statistics recording
has been stopped and the statistics data will not be available.
- Message 2193: An error occurred while trying to save one
of the excel spreadsheet files used to record packet statistics. As a
result packet statistics recording has been stopped.
- The expected packet rate for UDSM packets will always
default to 1.
New or Enhanced Capabilities
- The statistics recording may now be configured to automatically
close a current Excel spreadsheet and open a new Excel spreadsheet based upon
the length of time the spreadsheet was opened and updated or the number of
entries or rows contained in the spreadsheet (TReK will close the spreadsheet
by checking both values to determine when either one of the two values is
exceeded).
- The value for the length of time a spreadsheet is opened (in
minutes) was added to the registry and titled ns_statistics_record_time_limit
(default value is 1440).
- The value for the number of statistic entries or rows in a
spreadsheet was added to the registry and titled ns_statistics_record_file_size
(default value is 65000).
- Some of the spreadsheet calculations were changed (e.g., packet/rate,
max packet/rate, kbit/rate and max kbit/rate) to calculate an average value
over the time span between entries instead of providing an instantaneous value
at the time of the spreadsheet update. For example, if the spreadsheet was
configured to update once every sixty seconds, the packets per second column
will now provide the average packets per second over the sixty second time
period instead of the instantaneous packets per second for the one second
time span when the spreadsheet was updated.
- The time stamp printed with messages in the main window for
Telemetry Processing and Training Simulator now includes the date. The new
format is:
GMT yyyy-mm-dd hh:mm:ss.
