Operating System
TReK is developed and tested on the following Intel-based operating systems:
- Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 (64-bit)
TReK has been used on other Linux variants as well, but compatibility is not tested.
Processors
TReK will run on a single or multi-processor / multi-core systems.
TReK applications are multi-threaded will take advantage of multiple processors and multiple cores. Processing telemetry is a CPU intensive operation.
The amount of processing is dependent on the data rate. You should also consider what other applications will be running on the system.
If you have other products that use a lot of CPU or will have high data rates (greater than 2 Mb/sec), you may want to purchase a computer with multiple processors / cores or consider using a separate computer for those tasks if possible.
Storage
Standard drives should be sufficient.
Display
User interfaces are built to fit on a 1280x1024 screen with more than 256MB video memory.
Networking
Gigabit is recommended but may depend on your application need.
